It was 4:30 am in the morning at Singapore. The city was silent and still; People were still asleep and sound. Well, except us.
We were to set out for Malaysia early in the morning since it takes a lot of hours to get there. Good thing the agency had a really nice bus with reclining seats and an awesome air conditioner. Despite the disrupted sleep, we were still able to have enough rest.
Upon arrival at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. We went directly to Genting Highlands, “Fun City Above the Cloud’, since its nestled on a mountain peak. The cooling climate was 19°C that day so it was kind of cold but we still had fun and enjoy the indoor and outdoor entertainment rides offered. The scenic view of surrounding rain forests were also very pleasing to the eyes.
This was a roller coaster inside the theme park. 🙂
Next stop: Batu Caves
They said that Batu Caves is a well known tourist destination in Kuala Lumpur due to its unique 400 million years old limestone hill. But not only that, they also said it is a vast cavern complex that consists of rugged limestone cliffs and a series of caves as well as cave temples.
This was on our way to Batu Caves. At the base of the hill are two more cave temples which are full of Hindu statues and paintings. But we weren’t able to get inside since the stairs are to high and it would add up stress to my parents (the disadvantages of aging)

Sri Maha Mariamman Temple, Kuala Lumpur
Currently the temple has become Kuala Lumpur main Hindu temple and it plays an important role during their Thaipusam festival…
Next stop: Petronas Twin Tower
No visit to Kuala Lumpur would be complete without experiencing the jewel in the city’s crown-THE PETRONAS TWIN TOWERS. The architecturally outstanding building is probably Kuala Lumpur’s most visited tourist attraction. 😀

Once the towers are lit at night, well, they’re just breath-taking. They make you smile. They make you feel as though you are witnessing something so grand, so beautiful, so elegant. No photos ever taken can give justice to the beauty of these buildings. I love love love them!
