Bangkok, Thailand Part 2

Bangkok Chao Phraya Dinner Cruise

They said Bangkok at night is beautiful especially along the city’s spectacular Chao Phraya River that is a wonder to behold. I got so excited knowing that we were going to have a dinner inside a cruise while we wine and dine in the luxurious surroundings of the city. So much imagination, huh.

Mmmm. Dinner is served in buffet style, and it has a live band and a professional singer string along which was a Filipina. Kababayan!

I surely did enjoy an array of choices from authentic Thai to international cuisine. Whipping up fresh sashimi and hand-rolled california makis and sushis, the bar completes the delectable experience.

We surely did got a true taste of just how much this city dazzles at night. They said Bangkok looks like Paris at night. And I surely do agree!

Temple Dawn at Night. It was a breathtaking view! But my photos don’t do it justice.

An hour into the meal the atmosphere lightens up when the band starts to play retro and disco music. The dance floor is on fire and filled with people of all ages, with groups of friends, lovebirds, and even parents with kids. Everyone seems to enjoy this lovely evening – including me and my family. Too bad I wasn’t able to take pictures of the dance floor.

For the past two hours, the experience on the Grand Chao phaya has been beyond expectation. We’ve dined, enjoyed, and cruised as the city slipped by.

Safari Park (3rd day)

Safari Park is a nice place to see all animals in one place outside cage. You will get to see all kinds of animals from lions, tigers, rhinos, deers, bears, giraffes to birds like peacocks, parrots, etc. all roaming around on their own without any cage. You can feed the giraffes, take photos with tigers in your lap, parrots on your shoulder, sitting on a horse, touching a dolhpin etc. You can take as many pictures with the animals as you want but a some animals have a fee before you can take pictures with them like the dolphins, giraffes, etc.

There are many shows inside safari park major ones are sea lion show, dolphin show which is the only show that entertained me. hahaha! The orangutan show which was horrible, the cowboy stunt show which SUPER DUPER ANNOYING AND IRRITATING, the elephant show I missed, etc. All the shows are placed at a time frame of 20-25 mins from each other.

Morning time is comparatively cool compare to humid weather of Bangkok. Just keep in mind that it is a open air park and you will need plenty of walk. So choose a light and comfy clothes. But, be aware when extreme hot weather, it is so tiring! 😦

FRIENDLY TIP: Make sure you have enough water

Orangutan Show

The orangutan show was really fun to some. They were performing in bands and as go-go dancers but for me it was somehow disappointing and I ended up hating the show because of the awful animal treatment. Horrible what is done to these animals. Why on earth would they hit the head of this innocent orangutans? I know its how they trained them but still its not appropriate to just hit them in the head!

Bird Show

A nice touch were the mist sprayers that are littered throughout the park and inside the show – spent a fair amount of time under them!

Cowboy Stunt Show

If you are in the mood for some action, then you will also find it here at Safari World. Stay around to watch the HOLLYWOOD COWBOY STUNT SHOW where you’ll be thrilled while watching cowboys take stage with their gun and whip exhibitions on foot or on horseback.

image

Don’t be surprised if you are suddenly stunned with explosives that will even appear to be thrown towards the direction of the audience. And if you don’t want to get wet, stay away from the front row.

Visit to the Savannah

We had a tour around the Grounds to see lions, ligers and many other animals. The tour was quite fun but I ended up asleep. hahaha! Quite fun, huh? haha! The attraction was good. The zoo was well kept and the animals were, I guess, well fed because most of them were asleep. I think its one way of refraining from having accidents, they make the animals eat a lot of food so they end up satiated and asleep. No time for hunting.
